How AlbaniaClinic selects partner clinics

The 4 verifiable criteria we apply to every Tirana clinic we work with. No commercial affiliations, no commission-driven recommendations.

AlbaniaClinic is an medical tourism coordinator, not a clinic. We work with 4-5 selected clinics in Tirana out of 60+ that operate. The selection is based on 4 measurable criteria — all verifiable publicly before you ever speak to us.

1.QKL registration of the operating surgeon

What it means: Every dentist or surgeon at our partner clinics is registered in the Albanian QKL national medical authority register. Name + registration number + speciality publicly verifiable online.

How to verify: Ask the clinic for the specific surgeon's name before booking. Search the QKL register. If the name doesn't appear or the clinic refuses to provide it, we don't work with them.

2.Reasonable volume — max 3-5 cases per day per surgeon

What it means: We don't work with the "dental factory" or "hair transplant factory" model that runs 25-50 cases per day. These high-volume operations cannot give individual case attention. Our partner clinics cap at 3-5 cases per day per surgeon.

How to verify: Ask the clinic how many cases per day they accept. Compare with Turkish chains (often 30-50) and London premium clinics (often 1-3). Our partners are in the 3-5 range.

3.Written warranty in English (5-10 years dental, lifetime hair)

What it means: Every procedure is covered by a written warranty in English on clinic letterhead. Dental implants: 10-year warranty. Crowns/veneers: 5-year warranty. Hair transplant grafts: lifetime warranty (donor-zone follicles are biologically DHT-resistant). For warranty work, the clinic covers the procedure cost; you cover return flight only.

How to verify: Ask for the warranty document in English before paying any deposit. Anyone offering vague verbal warranties is not on our partner list.

4.English-speaking coordinator from first WhatsApp to 12-month follow-up

What it means: A specific named coordinator handles your case from initial enquiry through 12 months of post-treatment follow-up. Not a call centre. Not "you'll be assigned someone when you arrive". A specific person, named, with email + phone + WhatsApp.

How to verify: Ask for the coordinator's name + contact details before paying any deposit. UK-side aftercare network for warranty work is also provided.

What we don't do

What you can ask any UK or Albanian clinic before booking

  1. What is the specific name of the surgeon doing my procedure?
  2. How many cases per day does that surgeon do?
  3. What is the written warranty? Provide it in English on letterhead.
  4. Who specifically handles my aftercare? Provide their name + contact.
  5. What is the all-in price? Provide it on letterhead with every line item.

Any clinic refusing to answer these in writing before deposit is a red flag — regardless of country.
